The yummiest Acai bowl

Acai smoothie bowl

I always wake up hungry and jump out of bed to stuff my hand in the granola jar. So the thought of a smoothie for breakfast seems like I’m missing out, however I tried this recipe and was a convert. It took me seconds to prepare, no cooking oats or chopping fruit. The banana makes it really creamy, if you want to be able to take your smoothie on the go add a little more milk to loosen the consistency. Otherwise enjoy it with loads of toppings, my favourite is granola…to make me feel like I’m still eating not just drinking my breakfast! But also try it with fresh fruit, seeds, toasted honey nuts or a drizzle of nut butter.

Ingredients:

1 frozen banana
1/2 cup raspberries
1/2 cup blueberries
tbsp acai powder
2 tsp chia seeds
tsp bee pollen
1/4 cup almond milk
1 medjool date

What to do…

Place all the ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth. This will give you a thick consistency, transfer to a bowl and add your toppings. I like to top my bowl with granola for a bit of crunch and fresh berries.
