I have already posted a couple of energy ball recipes, but I can’t stop making them. I usually make a big batch on a Sunday and they will last me about a week. This means that I always have a pre-gym snack, or afternoon energy boost to hand. Its much cheaper than buying that afternoon snack at work and will keep your hunger at bay for much longer! Energy balls have changed the way I snack!! Don’t worry many more recipes for these to come, but this version is super simple!


1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup blanched almonds
1 cup medjool dates
tbsp maca powder
tbsp almond butter
2 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup coconut flakes

What to do…

Measure the walnuts and almonds into your blender and pulse until the nuts are crumbled and in small pieces. The nuts shouldn’t be completely ground, you want them to add a bit of texture to the balls.

Add the remaining ingredients to the blender and pulse until the mixture starts to stick together.

Using your hands, roll the mixture into golf ball sized balls. Place on a tray and refrigerate. These balls also freeze well so you always have a healthy snack to go to!
